Introducing the unworn Cartier Santos de Cartier Chronograph, Ref# WSSA0017 — a bold and contemporary interpretation of Cartier’s iconic Santos design, combining distinctive geometry with a sporty chronograph function. The extra-large 43.3mm Stainless Steel case features Cartier’s signature exposed-screw design and is enhanced by a contrasting black ADLC-coated bezel. The satin-brushed silvered dial is framed by black Roman numerals and complemented by black Stainless Steel sword-shaped hands with luminous material, providing excellent legibility. A discreet date window is positioned at 6 o’clock, maintaining the dial’s balanced appearance. The chronograph is clearly displayed through three dedicated sub-dials: a 60-second counter at the 6 o'clock position, a 30-minute counter at the 3 o'clock position, and a 12-hour counter at the 9 o'clock position. This well-organized layout combines practical functionality with a refined, sporty character, giving the watch a distinctive and highly functional presence on the wrist. A sapphire crystal protects the dial. At the heart of the watch is the Cartier Calibre 1904 CH MC, a self-winding mechanical chronograph movement. It provides approximately 48 hours of power reserve and offers hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph and date functions. The distinctive seven-sided crown is set with a faceted black synthetic spinel, while the watch is water-resistant to approximately 100 metres. The solid Stainless Steel caseback completes the robust construction. The watch comes with two interchangeable black straps: a sporty rubber strap and a sophisticated black “Gomma” alligator leather strap. Both feature Cartier’s QuickSwitch system, allowing them to be changed easily, while the supplied steel folding clasp adds a secure and refined finish.
