Introducing the unworn IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Edition “Mercedes-AMG Petronas”, Ref. IW388108 — a distinctive special edition that combines IWC’s aviation heritage with the high-performance spirit of Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One. The 41mm sandblasted titanium case, measuring 14.5mm in thickness, gives the watch an exceptionally lightweight yet highly durable character. Its black dial features black chronograph sub-dials with a fine concentric-circle texture, creating subtle depth and contrast. Petronas green hour markers and polished hands with matching luminous fill provide a distinctive racing-inspired accent, while the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock markers are additionally luminescent for excellent readability. A day/date display is positioned at 3 o’clock, while the small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock features a red-filled hand. The integrated chronograph uses a column-wheel mechanism and includes a large central seconds counter, a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock and a 12-hour counter at 9 o’clock, offering precise measurement of elapsed time. At its heart beats the IWC-manufactured Calibre 69385, an automatic mechanical chronograph operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). With 33 jewels and approximately 46 hours of power reserve, the movement combines robust performance with traditional mechanical craftsmanship. Its architecture can be admired through the transparent sapphire caseback. A screw-down crown and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal contribute to the watch’s robust construction, while 100-meter water resistance makes it suitable for everyday wear. The green rubber strap is equipped with IWC’s convenient EasX-CHANGE® quick-release system and comes with an additional black calfskin leather strap, allowing the look to be changed effortlessly. A titanium tang buckle provides a secure fit.
