Its 41.9mm sand-colored ceramic case, developed with Pantone®, draws inspiration from the flight suits of naval aviators and the arid landscape surrounding China Lake, the U.S. Navy’s iconic TOPGUN training base. This matte-finished ceramic is exceptionally light, scratch-resistant, and perfectly suited to the demands of a professional pilot’s watch. The matte brown dial features printed luminous numerals and indices, with bold markers at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock for quick reading in low light. Matte brown luminous-filled hands and a small second’s sub-dial at 6 o’clock complete the display, while the day-date aperture at 3 o’clock adds essential functionality. The vertical chronograph layout—with a 30-minute counter at 12 and a 12-hour counter at 9—ensures intuitive timing. Powering the watch is the IWC-manufactured caliber 69380, a column-wheel chronograph beating at 28,800 vph, with 33 jewels and a 46-hour power reserve. A soft-iron inner case shields the movement from magnetic fields, and the front glass is pressure-secured to withstand sudden drops in cabin pressure. Titanium pushers, crown, and a “TOP GUN” engraved titanium case back add durability and contrast, while the beige rubber strap with textile inlay harmonizes perfectly with the case.
