Introducing the unworn IWC Portugieser Automatic Chronograph, Ref# IW371624—a striking reinterpretation of one of Schaffhausen’s most iconic timepieces. Designed to honor the brand’s heritage of nautical precision, this 41mm chronograph embodies timeless elegance fused with technical prowess. The brushed and polished stainless steel case, with a round 13mm thickness, offers a refined yet sporty silhouette. One of the defining features of this timepiece is its refined dune-colored dial, adorned with gold-plated hands and applied gold hour markers that exude understated luxury. The dial itself is a masterpiece of craftsmanship, brought to life through an intricate process involving 60 individual steps. To achieve its remarkable depth and luminosity, 15 layers of transparent lacquer are meticulously applied, each one carefully fine-ground and polished to a brilliant, mirror-like sheen. The beige subdials are precisely milled into both the brass base and the lacquer, adding texture and dimension. A specialized printing technique enhances the visual depth, creating a sophisticated play of light and shadow. To complete this artisanal creation, each gold applique is hand-mounted, underscoring the watch’s commitment to precision, artistry, and elegance, while a subtle 18k Rose Gold dot minute/seconds track runs around the periphery for balanced symmetry. A hallmark of this model is the fractions-of-a-second track printed along the inner flange—also known as the réhaut—featuring a quarter-second scale for precision timekeeping. This not only emphasizes the chronograph’s functionality but also echoes the Portugieser’s legacy as a seafaring instrument of accuracy. Chronograph features include a large central seconds counter 18k Rose Gold hand, a beige 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock, and a beige  small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock, delivering both balance and clarity. At the heart of the watch is the IWC-manufactured caliber 69355, a robust automatic movement composed of 194 components, beating at 28,800 vph, with 27 jewels and a 46-hour power reserve.
